Our first book highlight is one of my all time favorites! “I Love My Love” features a variety of poetry, quotes, and personal letters by WOC artist Reyna Biddy. There isn’t a single page that won't leave you stunned and thinking about it for days. Biddy does such an amazing job of turning painful moments of womanhood and general life into works of art. She draws from her personal experiences and articulates them in such potent ways that are relatable to many people, connecting with the readers in every piece. When I found this book at my local Barnes and Noble, I had been searching for something that would teach me how to love myself more. After having read it, I can definitely say that this was the perfect choice. Every word felt like I was getting advice from the older sister I never had. It’s been a year since I initially read this and I’m still in love with it. I go back to reread bits of it pretty much every day! This is without a doubt, a 10/10 from me.
